Midori Araki graduated from Tokyo's Tama Art University of Design. Araki has been actively writing for magazines such as Elle Deco and Gap Japan while doing space planning and interior design as well as product design and art projects. Midori's work, moving between art and interior, has centered around object and installation and been exhibited at Happening in Tokyo (1999 and 2000), Off Site in New York (1999), Biennale International Design in France (2000) and the Milan Salone del Mobile (2001). In 2002 Midori took the opportunity to continue her work in France.
