Gen Suzuki was born in 1975. Prior to founded his design studio in 2014, he was part of the design team at IDEO where he has worked in various fields of design ranging from consumer goods, furniture and electronics to healthcare. His work has been widely recognized with numerous international awards, including Best Newcomer Award at 100% Design London, iF Awards and the Good Design Awards. He was also featured in The Independent as one of the young designers to watch. He has a MA(RCA) in Product Design from the Royal College of Art in the UK, and a BA from Kanazawa College of Art in Japan where he continues to be a lecturer. He also has been serving as a juror at Good Design Awards.
