Born in 1965, Alex Macdonald studied furniture production at Dorset Parnham College. After three years in furniture production at Hackney's Howard and Constable, Alex started working independently in 1988, designing and producing prototypes for celebrated designers and architects. Since 1993 he has been working on his own original designs for furniture and prototypes. His pieces are sold in America and Europe and have been exhibited in New York and London.
